News of the Southern California Ki Society

The Chief Instructor of the Southern California Ki Society, Clarence Chinn, was elevated to the rank of Nanadan (7th Degree Black Belt) by HQ Ki no Kenkyukai in January 2005. We congratulate our esteemed Chief Instructor.


The Southern California Ki Society mourns the loss of its beloved Chief Instructor Emeritus, Masao Shoji Sensei, Shoji Sensei passed January 20, 2004.

Kaicho Koichi Tohei, founder of Ki no Kenkyukai, authorized a Memorial Dan promotion to 7th Degree Black Belt for Shoji Sensei.

A Memorial Seminar will be held each year in January in memory of Shoji Sensei.
